Down.Now is an independent outage monitor. We track over a thousand online services — apps, games, banks, carriers, platforms — and answer one question in real time: is it down right now, or is it just you?

how it works

Our signal combines anonymous problem reports submitted on this site with monitoring of public social-media posts. Each service's current report volume is compared against its own typical baseline for that time of day; when the volume turns anomalous, our detection opens an incident automatically — no human decides what counts as an outage. Where a service publishes an official status feed, we track it too and show the company's acknowledgment and all-clear alongside the crowd signal. When an incident ends, it settles into a permanent dated record on the service's page.

independence

Down.Now is independently operated and funded. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by any of the services we track. Verdicts come from the data alone: no company can pay to change its status, and we do not remove incident records on request.

what the numbers are — and aren't

Report counts are individual user submissions, not an estimate of how many people are affected. An outage verdict means report volume is anomalous for that service — not that the company has confirmed an incident. corrections

If you spot an error — a mis-timed incident, a wrong label, bad service data — email us. We review every correction request against the underlying data and fix what's wrong.
